The Thin Place

--

Heaven and Earth, be thin in my life.
Because I want to feel deeply –
Feel the Hound of Heaven on my path,
Feel the rushing peace,
The celestial joy,
The groaning bones,
The Holy’s home.
I want to feel that it’s all not enough,
But enough for right now.
At home and homeless,
At peace but with missing pieces.
Life is a paradox, a meandering fine line.
A thin place — that is my life.

I heard someone say once that they had “a curiosity that spans the universe.” And I thought, “That’s me.”
